I ran into a little repository corruption with SVN 1.1.  It was really
painful.  Daily backups are essential.

Definitely NOT up to CVS stability/maturity levels, but the server is
actually pretty good.  I haven't used 1.2, but I hear good things.

I have used the svnup plugin for IDEA.  It was v.dodgy just before
Christmas.  The javahl API that it relies on is not production ready
and nor is the plugin itself.  I spent two days fixing bugs just to
get it to the point where it would work at all.  Sorely in need of a
little TDD.  At the time, it also didn't work for IDEA 4.x.

The javahl problem probably bodes ill for other forms of (non C) tool
support too, as they all have to rely on either this, or invoking the
svn command line tool.  (Re-implementing the client logic in another
language being unfeasible.)

I agree that SVN is streets ahead of CVS feature-wise.  I also agree
that the server is production ready.  IDE support is important,
though.  Having said that, IDEA 5 has SVN support out of the box.  I
haven't seen it yet, but if it is up to the standard of the other
stock IDEA plugins, it will be pretty solid.

All things considered, I'm +1 on this idea.
