SimpleASNReader assertion failure

I just had two users reporting the following problem:

"SSH Error: Can't read key due to internal IO problems: 
java.io.IOException: Assertion failed, next byte value is 67 instead of 
asserted 30"

This exception is thrown in
	    public void assertByte(int b) throws IOException {

in the class com.sshtools.j2ssh.util. SimpleASNReader

Would be nice if someone knows what the problem really is. What I know 
is that both of the users that reported this problem are using 
ssh-agent. Don't know if this is of any relevance.
