Hi all, I have some problems using the J2SSH API on some UNIX machines. It seems that the SSH deamon shipped with the operating system does not work and produces a socket EOF IO ERROR. The problem does not occurr if I install and use newer open ssh deamons from the SUN and IBM mirrors. So I'd like to know if there's some specific version to be prerequisited on the target machine in order every thing to work. Moreover I also verified that in order to use the SSH APIs, some setting must be configured in the sshd_config file (all the keys PermitRootLogin, ChallengeAuthentication, PasswordAuthentication, PublickeyAuthentication and so on must be setted to yes). Considered that we use the SSH API to remotelly perform some actions in a centralized way, we would like to avoid a system administrator to logon on each machine and perform configuration changes. I'd like to know which is the minimal set of actions to be locally performed in order to clearly document them. Thanks in advance for your collaboration. Bye.
