I am copying the list so that you can see the instructions on how to spool
messages to a
file rather than a console.

Thanks Bernardo for your answer.

A happy new year for all of us !!

You got to put something like this in your code:

import org.apache.log4j.PropertyConfigurator;

PropertyConfigurator.configure("j2ssh.log4j.properties");

This will not completely turn off, but will redirect
the log messages to a file. See how to do it at log4j
tutorials. If you do not configure log4j it will use a
default configuration: log at console with the most
verbose mode (DEBUG). If you log just warn, error or
fatal levels it will print a lot less messages. This
attached configuration file is set to log in warn
level, which means no info messages.

It's better copy this message to the list, so other
people may see it.
