Re: extending RolesPermissionsAdapter to support Role based menu items ?

In terms of getting the user/role info from a database, you should check
out Feature Request (RFE) [ 939422 ] "PermissionsAdapter structural
changes", which contains code for what you're trying to do.  

 

I've been using this in my own installation for a number of months now,
with no issues.
