Are users roles changing or the "roles" attribute on <Menu> and <Item>? Currently, there's no way to easily change the "roles" attribute on each item specified. You'd have to grab the MenuRepository object from the servlet context and loop through each menu/item to change them. I don't think I fully understand what you're trying to do and why Struts Menu is not working for you.
