Disabling menu items

hello all, i am using StrutsMenu in my application. my menus are associated with roles so far, everything works fine and user not in role will see the menu greyed out i was curious to know how can i avoid to display the menu item at all if user is not in role is there any particular javascript file that ihave to import? thanks in advane and regards marco
