Hi Glenn,

thanks for your interest in StrutsCX. - I just downloaded the
strutscx-0.9.3.war and checked its content. In the WEB-INF/lib folder
there is a strutscx-0.9.3.jar, which is correct. Actually, if you unpack
the WAR archive you've all files at the right place to get started with
development in J2EE-Servlet-Environment (i.e. Tomcat). - The
strutscx-xxx.war contains all classes for the StrutsCX prototype sample
application which you can see live here:

http://www.raibledesigns.com/strutscx/info.do

The strutscx-xxx.jar contains all classes conveniently packed. This is
the minimum you should copy to your own web application to make use of
StrutsCX.

That’s it for the moment. Hope this quick explanation will help you to
fast get ready with StrutsCX.

Regards,

Berny

Betreff: [Strutscx-user] A little lost:-)

Hi,

My Name is Glenn Thompson. I'm trying to spin up on StrutsCX.
I think I've read everything that is recommended on the Web site.
In the interest of full disclosure: I'm currently a "role your own
servlet from scratch" sort of guy. And I've rolled some big ol ugly
ones:-)
However, I've known the error of my ways for a long time. From my
reading I have concluded that Model2x is a method I want to give a full
effort in learning. So here I am.

Currently I'm a little confused with the 0.9.3 release content.

1. The 0.9.3.war has a strutscx-0.9.2.jar file in it.
2 The src directory appear to be 0.9.2 as well.
3. I downloaded the strutscx-0.9.3.jar separately and the class files
seem to reflect the refactorings listed in the project history. However

I still need the source to better follow the flow.
4. Is CVS a better choice?

Thanks,
gat
