Hi Paul,

two quick notes on your question:

- The StrutsCXFormReader and StrutsCXFormWriter are for optional use.
They just contain the logic of reading and writing ActionForms. Feel
free to include this in your Action class. To be honest, I do so in my
actual project.
- Consider to use the Struts Validator for Form validation. This gives
you maximum flexibility including the use of regular expression for
validation purposes.

Regards,

Berny

Betreff: [Strutscx-user] Does anyone have examples of non-prototype
strutscx application a vailable?

Good tidings to all,
I have chosen the strutscx framework as the presentation tier for a
project I am working on and I am having some difficulty in developing a
full
round-trip form.
I have noticed some development concerns with the current 0.9.2 and
0.9.3
versions.
I would prefer to have the Struts ActionServlet capabilites of "Field
Harvesting" or automatic html:form-element to JavaBean with configurable
validation, so I do not have to create a redundant XActionFormReader
and
XActionFormWriter classes. Struts provides several variations of this
with
its ActionForm, DynaActionForm and the Struts 1.1
ActionForm.getValue(String
key) ActionForm.setValue(String key, Object value) to add Map based
access
to the FormBeans values.
Does anyone have an available example of a non-prototype StrutsCX
application that I could examine? i.e: an application that includes
the
StrutsCX War and then has its own application War near or encapsulating
the
StrutsCX.war?
