Hi Nitin,

If you check the source code in your browser you’ll notice that in case
the EUC_KR is misspelled the javax.xml.transform.Transformer replaces it
with UTF-8. All Korean characters than will be encoded in UTF-8, too.
Your browser can display either EUC_KR or UTF-8.

If you replace the <ko> element for the StrutsCX prototype your browser
will show you a respective error message.

Regards,

Berny

Betreff: [Strutscx-user] encoding

I was checking if I can have more than one langauge support in in one
resource xml
I was surprised to see that whatever be the encoding specified in
strutscx-config.xml,
it always returned formatted output.

For example I changed
<ko>EUC-KR</ko>
to
<ko>FAKE</ko>

I got correct korean output.
why is the StrutsCX transformer not getting affected by the encoding ?
However it complains (NullPointerException) if I remove the contents
from <ko>.
Even changing the encoding in "variables_ko.xml" also not affecting the
output ?

Pls provide some details if I am misinterpreting the things.

thanks
-Nitin
