Hi folks, Check out the latest StrutsCX versions. Since v0.9.4 you can enjoy improved error statements... Regards, Bernhard Woehrlin -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Wouter de Vaal [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Freitag, 5. Dezember 2003 12:14 An: [email protected]; [email protected] Betreff: Re: [Strutscx-user] bug report IMHO, every exception catched by strutscx internal classes, should generate a log statement including the stacktrace, with the version (0.9.3) I'm using, this is hardly the case, so I'm not sure if it's already changed. So statements like. logger.error(THIS_CLASS + "TransformerException"); should be: logger.error(THIS_CLASS + "TransformerException", te); log4j supports these statements and if a user doesn't like them, they should change the log-level configuration. If this has already been changed (for all statements), please disregard my comments. I'll fix this asap. - This is the type of feedback I really appreciate and help to make StrutsCX a better product. Regards, Bernhard Woehrlin -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von Stephan Reichelt Gesendet: Donnerstag, 4. Dezember 2003 18:02 An: [email protected] Betreff: [Strutscx-user] bug report HI, I'm not sure about the correctness of my subject, but I think so.. :) While searching for a terrible configuration error in our project (about 20 dialogs with 4 to 8 forms each) I found the following: If a transformation xsl for a file is given in strutscx-config.xml but this file does not exist, ApplicationServer gives out a Trace for "array index out of bounds"-Exception thrown by some internal strutscx-class. Any type of error-message probably would have saved about 1 hour .. :)) MfG, Stephan R. -- [email protected] Fraunhofer IVI Tel: +49 351 4640 616 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
