tokens in error messages

Hi,

Has anyone managed to get this working in CX. 
What I need is an error msg to display like this

The firstname {firstname} cannot be verified

The {} is a error message token that needs to be substituted in the error msg.

I have the validate method returning the fieldName and I can associate
the field name with the error message in my resource bundles, but i
need to have some sort of error token that I need inside the error
msg.

Any ideas, will appreciate it...thx
