Handling multiple EIS instances with one resource adaptor

Hi,

I have a question about the number of EIS instances that can be supported by one
resource adaptor.

When a resource adaptor is deployed to an appserver can that adaptor be
associated with multiple instances of the EIS. For example can a resource
adaptor for, say, SAP provide my J2EE application with connections to two
different SAP implementations. If so is this connection information visible to
my client application?

I'd be happy to elaborate on the question if needed.
