Gurdev Connections to resource managers are considered to be shareable. If the <res-sharing-scope> element is not specified, connections are assumed to be shareable. There is no harm to specify the <res-sharing-scope> as Shareable in that way you document your ejb-jar.xml ant it's clear for anybody what behaviour you expect. (e.g. <res-sharing-scope>Shareable</res-sharing-scope>) Cheers Andreas Gurudev Parmar wrote: > Hi, > I want to know the correct behavior of a container w.r.t. > connection sharing if I do not include <resource-ref> > tag for a bean described in the ejb-jar.xml. > This means that the container does not get a hint about > the <res-sharing-scope> from the ejb-jar.xml. > My understanding according to JCA 1.0 Spec 6.9 is that > since the container does not have a hint for res-sharing-scope > it must assume that the connection request by the bean > is shareable. > > Is this right? > > Thanks, > Gurdev > > =========================================================================== > To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected] and include in the body > of the message "signoff CONNECTOR-INTEREST".
