Subject: Important tool for a J2EE Connector developer

Date: Wed, 20 Nov 2002 23:57:11 -0800

Hello,

Here is an important tool for building J2EE Connector 1.0 compliant

connectors (Yes, once built they run in all J2EE 1.3 compliant

appservers). The tool is called Sun ONE Connector Builder, Version 2.0.

Its not a beta product. Its a final release, also available for trail

use from www.sun.com.

Connector Builder generates webservices ready (yes, it generates

SOAP services that use CCI) J2EE connector spec compliant connectors,

based on your back end API (EIS API) definition. Its designed to be

simple to use. Its a connector work bench that serves user in connector

definition, recurrent modification, code generation/regeneration, build,

package, deploy and test. The code generated is easy to understand, and

serves novice user by simple, pointed customization means to advanced,

sophisticated users by being fully open customizations means. All the

whitepapers, product documentation, samples and discussion forums links

are provided below [or you could go www.sun.com and search for

'connector builder'].

Your feedback, questions welcome.

Its a cool thing. You should check it out.
