Hi all-

This is a formal announcement that all four Proposals, as part of
the "Porter Project Standard Proposals, Part 2", have passed voting
in the General House. The Proposals are available at:
  http://www.jini.org/nonav/standards/Proposals/Porter2/proposal.html

Twenty Eight individuals participated in this vote, with the following
results:

    Proposal Yes votes No votes
  ----------------------------------------
      6 26 0
     12 27 0
     23 27 0
     24 27 0

This means that these Standard Proposals are on their way
to becoming Jini Community Standards. All four Proposals had
already passed voting in the Commercial House.

The Jini Community Decision Process (JDP) now calls for a two week
"settling phase" to be sure everyone is aware that the Proposals
passed successive votes in both Houses, and to provide an opportunity
for anyone to request an audit of the election if they have doubts to
its validity.

Barring any request for audit... two weeks hence, I will announce
these Proposals as Jini Community Standards.
Note: following that announcement, the JDP still provides the
Community a two week appeal period for any Community appeals
to the Jini TOC regarding the election.

You can read up on the JDP process at http://jini.org/jdp/v0.7

thanks -Jim
