New whitepaper - "A Scalable Architecture for Low Latency Pricing"

We've just posted a new whitepaper on Jini.org:

This is a very interesting paper which looks at the
problem of Fixed Income Bond Pricing and how a Jini and
JavaSpaces -based architecture can help build a distributed
and scalable solution.

Here's the Executive Summary from the paper:

   "This document discusses the challenges facing the designers
    of scalable high-performance low-latency pricing applications
    for Capital Markets. It describes the often-conflicting
    requirements for pricing applications and discusses strategies
    for building a scalable pricing architecture using JavaSpaces
    grid technology focusing on the real-world example of
    Fixed Income Bond Pricing and illustrating strategies and
    mechanisms for the division of inter-related instrument
    pricing to give units of pricing work which are worth
    distributing between available physical resources. The
    architecture proposed has the potential to be grid-enabled
    and is realised as a Master/Worker Calculation Service which
    divides up and delegates sets of calculations to configurable
    Calculation Worker processes which do the calculations on nodes
    in a low-cost and highly scalable compute grid."
