Just to clarify (since I've received a number of
emails)... this does not mean the "Jini" name is
going away. "Braintree" is going to be the proposed
name of our Apache project and development community
that we hope to form at Apache. In that project we plan on
still using "Jini" in the namespace (for example, net.jini.*)
and the API documentation.
And, of course, there will still be Jini.org for great information,
links, and content on all things Jini. And Java.net
(<http://jini.dev.java.net>) for shared and collaborative projects
around the core infrastructure.
I view "Braintree" in the heart of our overall "Jini" world.
