OK -- while I am still wondering where that file is or if the documentation is correct... It looks like with the launch-all script that mahalo is tunning as transient, out of the box? OK. doing this with blitz only was straightforward. I guess the next step of my learning curve is to figure out how the starter kit is configured. If someone doesn't mind short-ciruiting my reading for that, I would be grateful. As I am diffing in, I see in the mahalo package summary a reference to [config_dir]/persistent-jrmp-mahalo.config but I could not find that in the release tree anywhere. Maybe I just missed it?
