Hi Mark, Point taken; I have not really been in touch with Apache River site during last few months. Also, I am reasonably sure that members will take enough care to retain 'backward compatibility' (to whatever extent _possible_ and _meaningful_) while transporting the software and community to 'Apache' way of doing things. So, I have no issues there. The essential point I am trying to make is that we must strive for making the technology more acceptable. Increased ease of installation and ease of running will go a long way to bring this about. Now, that JavaSpaces is an Apache project, I believe these will happen in keeping with the way other mainstream Apache projects work. I am looking forward to that. My 0.5 cents!
