I also thought its worth mentioning that there is already fairly
advanced support not just for JavaSpaces but for the entire Space Based
Architecture that is available on a pay per use model on the Amazon EC2
using GigaSpaces:

For JavaSpaces support I'll suggest that you'll look at the description
of  one of the built-in example. It shows how you can deploy a space
cluster as a data grid on EC2 here:

It is important to note that one of the main thing that we were trying
to address with the new mycloud service is reduce the barrier to entry
for running a Jini/JavaSpaces based environment by removing large part
of the complexity that is normally required to set such an environment
from the developer. As you would see with this integration you don't
need to download any software or setup any environment. You can easily
deploy a cluster of 10's of spaces just by a click of a button. For
running the demo itself you don't even need an Amazon account.

Anyway consider this as just another FYI.

Its interesting that a fair amount of people are using javaspaces in=20
