Not that I don't like exotic travel. I do. But given the new River
effort, there may be some benefit to putting together a Jini workshop
around the OSCON open source conference here in Portland in the summer
(July) 23-27).

That may be too soon for logistics, but at a minimum the call for
participation just went out, and getting some Jini participants at the
event per se would generate a good bit of attention. I'd bet.

How to adopt jini/javaspaces and take it into production.

Design strategies/tradeoffs/etc. for jini/javaspaces solutions.

That's probably a good place to have a presence, but I think OSCON
will get a wider/larger audience of everyday open source application
developers.

Now three good venues. I would still emphasize OSCON (and not just
because it is held two blocks from my office! 8-).

The jini meeting should probably be in conjunction with one of the
