I think you interpreted my remarks incorrectly. The formatter doesn't
seem to work correctly, something I've seen in an environment that had
Log4J in it IIRC.

The log messages container the curly brackets variables
"{0}:{1,number,#} with constraints {2}" which should have been
substituted by the formatter. But forget what I've said about Log4J.
