Greg asked me: Entry objects are pretty core to Jini's lookup approach, as well as JavaSpaces. What is it you don't like about them? Answer: Basically the fact the comparison is done on their serialized form, and consequentially that their is no partial matches. Also, please note that Entrys are used for transporting user interfaces, I know that their are some problems with that. I am no expert so please refer to http://jan.newmarch.name/java/jini/tutorial/Entry.xml. Basically I would like partial matches, Best Regards PS: Some time ago, i came across a discussion on the problems of ServiceUI related to lack of control of the class loading (since it is slow, because of resources). Sorry for the lack of detail. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting Started: http://www.jini.org/wiki/Category:Getting_Started Community Web Site: http://jini.org jini-users Archive: http://archives.java.sun.com/archives/jini-users.html Unsubscribing: email "signoff JINI-USERS" to [email protected]
