OK, am waiting for an admin to get back to me--but as I (in a very
limited way) understand it, MH applies between network and its
connection to the outside world (e.g. an ISP)--the problem we're
having is on a local network, between 3 machines on the same network,
switch (and rack, for that matter). Can MH have some impact in this
case?

These are all great mysteries to me, however. I will let you know when
I hear back from our admin.
