Hello, i noticed something while i was working on a jini project where the server gets sql query from a clinet that resides on a different machine, then it connects to a database that resides on the same machine and sends the result back to the clinet. what happens is that the round trip time in the first invocation is approximately 3.5 times as the next invocations. does this mean that jini makes use of some caching technique. taking in consideration that the amount of data returned is so large. i'll be so much obliged for any guidance or help.
