Congratulation,
the first step has succeeded (see below), and the rest is up to this
community.

Now, as Geir points out, the first thing happening is that some Apache
infrastructure will be setup. Most importantly;

 1. Mailing lists, typically
    a. [email protected]
       For discussions about development of the codebase.

    b. [email protected]
       For private discussion of the "Provisional Project Management
       Committee" (PPMC), typically restricted to topics about security
       vulnerbilites or individuals.

    c. [email protected]
       For discussions using the codebase.

 2. Subversion repository for the codebase, and access control lists for it.
    https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/

For the initial committers, there are some paper work that needs to be done
(if not done already), see http://www.apache.org/licenses/#clas
Note; For committers that work on a project may need its employer to execute a
Corporate Contributor License Agreement. Your local jurisdiction will
determine if you need it. AFAIU, if you are in USA, then you will need it. If
you are in Europe, you will need it if you do this during working hours.

And if Sun (any other corporate donations??) hasn't done so already, a
Software Grant is required; http://www.apache.org/licenses/#grants
