Re: Call Conferencing question

Did you try to do the process manually from the phone? Because it looks like
you can’t place a call while the other one is on hold. Check the maximum
numbers of calls for that line. I have tried it without holding the previous
call and it was working.

Thank you for your response.

Suppose

1234 is the conference controller.

What I am trying to do is.

1234 calls 1235, 1235 answers. That is call 1.

1234 then calls 1236. 1236 answers. That is call 2.

This way n calls are created.

The first call binds these other calls to the conference via conference
method. Problem is when the call 1 is active, 1234 canno connect another
call I get invalid state exception when I try to do that?

Any comments on this or can you propose another solution?

Hi,

 

Why do you put the terminal ‘termi’ on hold? I think you don’t need that;
just connect the second call and conference it.

Hi all,

I am working on an application that creates a conference on specified DNs.

I am trying

 

CallControlCall call = (CallControlCall)ciscoProv.createCall();

call.setConferenceEnable(true);

call.addObserver(this);

Terminal term = srcAddress.getTerminals ()[0];

call.connect (term, srcAddress, destAddress );

 

CallControlCall call2 = (CallControlCall)ciscoProv.createCall();

Terminal term2 = srcAddress.getTerminals ()[0];

CallControlTerminalConnection
termi=(CallControlTerminalConnection)term2.getTerminalConnections()[1];

termi.hold();

call2.connect (term, srcAddress, "3214" );

call.conference(call2);

 

But this does not work as one party remains on hold .

What should I do? Can you please comment on this?
