MIDP Newbie question

Hi to all! I'm only new in using MIDP of netbeans. I just want to ask on what will I do. And pleaase give me some codes also..

I have a MIDP application that calls a webservice. The function of webservice is [b]GetName[/b]. How do I call that function?

I already read this link http://www.netbeans.org/kb/60/mobility/mobile-dilbert.html

But I want that If I entered the id number, I can call the GetName function of the webservice. How can I do that? I also don't know how to get the value of thet textbox that is inputted by the user. Please help me. I know this when it's a web application.. but it's a mobile application that's why I am not familiar with those stuffs. I need your help guys.
