The Mobile, Media, and eMbedded Developer Days is one week from today.
Read the featured segment on the Tru2Way (Open Cable) and Brazilian TV
Spec talks in the sixth of our weekly updates below.

https://developerdays.dev.java.net/nonav/newsletters/M3DD-Countdown6.pdf

You can hear more from Phil Bender of CableLabs in the feature segment
of this weeks podcast.

http://today.java.net/pub/a/today/2009/01/14/javamobility-podcast68.html

Just a few more important items about the conference:

1. Remote Broadcast

We plan to broadcast all sessions live and worldwide on

   http://ustream.tv/sun

This gives remote participants an opportunity not only to follow the
conference but also to interact with the local attendees and speakers
via the ustream chat facility. More information at

   http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/DeveloperDays

Feel free to promote the broadcast among your friends and colleagues who
cannot join us in person.

2. Casual Reception in the Mansion, Tuesday 5-7 pm

We have reserved the historic Mansion (right across from the Auditorium)
for a casual reception on Tuesday evening, 5-7pm. Please join us for a
leisurely chat, drinks, and some finger food.

3. Community Social Event, Wednesday 7-10pm

This will probably will be the highlight of the conference and we would
like to have as many attendees there as possible. You have to eat anyway
;-) and free, good Mexican food is hard to pass up.

4. Poster Sessions - We still have spots available

Poster sessions are a great way to share with other attendees what you
are working on - even if you are not doing a technical talk. We still
have room for more presentations. If you interested see Roger's blog
(from last year but still valid) at

http://weblogs.java.net/blog/brinkley/archive/2008/01/medd_poster_ses_1.html

5. Venue and Hotel Information

You can find information on the venue (directions, pictures well as
hotel information here:

   http://developerdays.dev.java.net/nonav/location.html

Special note that the Santa Clara Marriott is providing a special rate
forthe conference of $169 per night including complementary high-speed
internet and complementary self parking. Reservations for the Event must
be made directly with Marriott reservations at 1 (800) 228-9290 or (408)
988-1500 or on-line group code "SMMSMMA".

6. Conference website and latest agenda

Is here:

   http://developerdays.dev.java.net/nonav/overview.html

That's about it. Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday afternoon and
if not then Wednesday morning live or on the ustream chat.
