HI Terrence,
just some considerations to add to this thread... my 2 cents.

I'm going to start a submission with JVP for our JavaME Application.
We already signed with Verisign and it works nicely on Nokia and SonyEricsson phones.
As already mentioned Motorola refuse to work with Verisign and so we need JVP or Motorola or Carrier signatures.

But, before starting with JVP I'd like to better understand the table of supported devices (ref. http://www.javaverified.com/docs/Table_of_Supported_Devices_1.17.2.pdf)

I've seen that there are some devices without UTI cert. on board. In such a case how I'll use the signed JVP application? I guess I cannot.

For example:
Motorola V3xx is not marked with "+" in the list, that means I won't be able to install JVP signed app on it.
Moreover that device doesn't accept applications signed using Verisgn or other CA.
The only way is to use Motorola or Carrier certs. Isn't it?

At the end:

1. There's no way to have ONE application signature for all the phones
2. There's no way to have TWO (JVP and Verisign) application signatures for all the phones

We need at least another one (Motorola) to work with it.

Thanks,
