Announcements: Java ME tutorial at OOPSLA in October, and new book

I'll be teaching a tutorial on Java ME programming at OOPSLA in October.
Here are the details:

Title      : Using Java ME to Program Your Mobile Phone
Time & Date: Monday, October 22, 1:30 PM
Duration   : 3.5 hours

It'll be a very hands-on class, complete with labs. We'll be building a
simple client for Yahoo Maps. Please go ahead and sign up if you'd like
a quick, practical introduction to MIDP application programming.

I'm not an expert on OOSPLA registration, but it looks like the cost of
the tutorial is $470, but free for students. Check the web site for the
details.

The material in my tutorial is based on a new book about MIDP and MSA.
We're hoping to have it in print by the end of this year. In the
