Those projects (I did not knew either) seem to be very interesting. I hav= e to=20 check them also. In this project the aim is to integrate resource poor devices into RMI/Ji= ni but=20 without middle systems in order to be more easy the setup of the system, = just=20 the resource poor devices directly connected to an existing IP network an= d=20 just that. I can not use surrogate, bridging and gatewaying here due to t= he=20 general requirment that says "no system in the middle". Yes, this is a ch= allenge=20 project.
