You got it. Thanks a lot. My SuSE distro happened to have another rmic
in /usr/bin which obviously had precedence in $PATH and I didn't know
it! I tried to execute rmic specifying the complete path to my JDK and
as you said the output was different.

Everything is working now as it should. Thanks again.
