FileHandler - NFS

Hi!

I want to generate a file handler(translation from textname of files
to unique identifiers) for a FileServer.. I was reading a book, and
NFS, generates a file handler with these fields:

FileSystemIdentifier; i-node number of file; i-node generation number

Any idea, how i can get these fields thru Java? Is there any class
from Java API, that can help me to get these fields? Or an other
sugestion to create UFID's? (Unique File Identifiers)
I would apreciate any help.
