Considering that the RMI API and implementation has been extremely quiet for
a while, and considering things like: the fundamentally broken state of
RMI/SSL; the ongoing java.rmi.server.hostname issues; the lack of an SPI
architecture; and a few other things I could think of under pressure, are
there any plans for a JSR for RMI revisions in Java 1.8?
