Re: RMI cleanup

Is there any way of speeding up or preempting distributed garbage collection
to reap unreachable objects, or to preempt it to reap a particular object? 
I've looked for your book but it doesn't appear to be available from the
publishers anymore.  Is there a more recent version, or are my only options
the second-hand marketplace?

I guess we could be more discriminating, but it would make the system less
robust.  The host not found exception is only "fatal" to the extent that one
can't recover from it until the host name is defined.  If the system worked
the way I expected / would like it to, we would see the errors in the logs,
define the host, and the clients will just carry on without having to be
restarted.
