E-Mail Watchng from a servlet

Hi

I want to develop some kind of e-mail notifications.

So, I wanna know how can I do to watch the e-mail account to realize when an
e-mail arrives.

I don't want to check for e-mail every x time but only when new e-mails
arrive to the account.

What I want I think it's like a MVC over e-mail accout.

Any Ideas, any examples or similar experience ??
