I think you need to re-think the user interface and figure out how a user
is actually going to find a product among 10000, 1000, or even 100 items.
Is this program of yours going to be used on an intranet or over the
Internet? What connection speeds are your users going to have? What type of
server (size & memory) are you going to use? You need to take all of these
factors and more into consideration when designing your UI.
