Why do you want to parse .class or .exe files? That's not normally a part of a testing program. If you want to test Java code, one of the most common approaches is to use JUnit Test, which is described at http://junit.org/index.htm. If you simply want to distinguish between Java and C/C++ code, I think most people handle that by putting Java .class files in different directories than C/C++ .exe files. This is much simpler than trying to parse a file to determine what it is.
