However, The method you propose seems no better than reading a book on the subject; possibly even less comprehensive. The point of a class is to get interaction between the student and teacher, and to "see" it explained. The only advantage I see here is the ability to email questions and get answers. I would be interested in the class when you have the mpeg (or other video format) recordings, have a live video broadcast, or both (best option). The mpeg recordings will definitely be good for those who can not attend during the live session. I applaud your idea. Please let us know when viewing the class sessions is available.
