Hi detlef, There is the java.net.URLEncoder class for character encoding, see the encode() method. I dont know about german umlaut, but the Java 1.4 version of this class include a Locale parameter to this method. Hope this helps. regards Malcolm >From: "detlef schulze" <[email protected]> >To: <[email protected]> >Subject: [Tapestry-developer] Handling of special characters (german umlaut >etc.) >Date: Sun, 17 Nov 2002 17:11:46 +0100 > >Hi all, > >I just wonder if tapestry has any facility to handle the transformation of >for example german umlauts or characters like ">" to their HTML Entities >like ä or > respectively. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html
