Well, you can patch the code make MySQL happy, which is what you already have done. Praise open-source. You can go on the Wiki and create a page describing this so that others will be able to do the same. Please remember that the focus of the Vlib is to provide a shake-and-bake demo for Tapestry (i.e., download JBoss, Tapestry, configure Tapestry, execute one command, up and running).
