ConnectedParameterException using Block

Hi all,
            I posted about this earlier and no one had any suggestions..
but I think I posted during American thanksgiving so I figure no one saw
it.. so I figured I'd try again.. 
 
I am trying to pass a block into a component I have made.. I specified
java-type="net.sf.tapestry.components.Block" in the component and
type="Block" in  the page containing the two.. but I am getting :
Parameter block (ExpressionBinding[QuarantineUsersList
components.buttonBlock]) is not type net.sf.tapestry.components.Block.
 
I checked, and I haven't defined my own "Block" component that might be
conflicting... so what am I doing wrong? I am binding using
"bindings.buttonBlock".. 
 
Any help would be appreciated.
