Are you sure it *crashes* with CGC?  The NullPointerExceptions are
"normal" when you click on menu elements, because this part has only
recently been added to Classpath and is not fully implemented yet.

I updated BUG:71.  Please take a look (and you should probably also add
yourself to Cc: list of this bug to receive all followup automatically).

You should be just fine here.  I would most probably not compile at all
if something was wrong with the versions you have installed.

Note that the Swing app is only used here as an excuse to trigger GC.
