I think this is the right solution. Actually it's really be great that
Gentoonians will be able to use the latest staging versions so easily.
They're fully entitled to file bugs about staging into our BTS.
Though I think the overriding CFLAGS by Gentoo build env. is a recipe
for troubles when connected with SableVM's inlined engine. The top of
the iceberg was shown in http://sablevm.org/bugs/81 bugreport. The
CFLAGS should be unset prior to compilation and should never be set
unless there's a good reason to use it ie. for non-standard include
directories.

I think we already include GCC version string, ie. on my system it is:
- gcc version: 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-9)
Does Gentoo modify GCC version string too? If not, then we'd need
another way of checking that system is a Gentoo dist.
