paper by Etienne Gagnon and current sablevm implementation

Hi all,

This is my first mail on this mailing list.

I want to study the implementation of a JVM (particularly GC). So to start 
with, i downloaded and got sablevm compiled and running.
Now before starting to browse through the code i have a quick question ... 
Is current implementation of sablevm following the jvm design discussed in 
paper by Etienne Gagnon ? If it is, i think browsing and understanding the 
code will be much easy ...

Any tips from current developers ? How should i start ?
