Hi, The main point of this prerelease is of course to ensure that the final release 1.13 will meet your expectations. This means that if you want to see SableVM SDK 1.13 working as well as you'd like it to you need to test this prerelease and send us feedback. The main goal of the upcoming 1.13 release is to update the class library to GNU Classpath 0.19. This does not mean that there's been no work on the JVM itself. Rather the opposite. But these new parts have not been integrated into the mainline yet. Gradual integration will be the goal of next releases, after 1.13. Please let us know of your experiences with this prerelease so that we could ensure that the final release works best for you! Happy testing! Grzegorz B. Prokopski PS: All you need to do is to fetch: http://sablevm.org/people/gadek/sablevm-sdk-1.13-pre1.tar.gz unpack it, run './configure', 'make', 'su' and 'make install' (the last command usually needs to be exeucted as root). With the default settings you should find fairly complete JAVA_HOME-like environment in /usr/local/lib/sablevm directory. -- Grzegorz B.
