It all seems OK to me...  How about this:

Here I get:

$ gcc -o test -lffi test.c
$ ldd test
         libffi.so.2 => /usr/lib/libffi.so.2 (0x0ffdb000)
         libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x0fe7c000)
         /lib/ld.so.1 => /lib/ld.so.1 (0x30000000)

What do you get?
