Hello,
The tomcat installation procedure and the way to run it is given below.
The error which comes when I run it using the sablevm is given below:
The tomcat version I am using is Jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1a.
Google will give u list of sites of where you could download the tomcat.
(
http://apache.mirror.positive-internet.com/jakarta/tomcat-3/bin/jakarta-
tomcat-3.3.1a.tar.gz)
I am trying to run this in the redhat machine with the linux version
7.2.
Steps:
1. download the source code of the Jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1a
2. untar in using tar -zxvf Jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1a.tar.gz with a prefix
if u need of where u want to store, say /home/Jakarta-tomcat/
3. go to bin directory where the tomcat got installed and try running
./startup.sh script. This is possible only if you're a root.
You can see it running only if your jvm is installed.
I first tried running tomcat using Sun jvm(java) and to check whether
tomcat is running or not I just opened a browser and typed :
http://<ip-address>:8080. The tomcat default page opens. This shows the
tomcat is running.
But when I try running using sablevm I see the following error:
[verbose class: loading "java/lang/Throwable$StaticData"]
java.lang.InternalError: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:

I hope this information is enough to install the tomcat and to reproduce
the error. I basically need the particular tomcat version to be
installed which I have mentioned. Please do help me for making tomcat
run using sablevm.
Regards
Varsha.

Hi,
I'd like to help you but I need some help so that I could actually
reproduce the problem on my machine. I've never used tomcat, and the
new version I have packaged in Debian does not seem to work at all
(yes, I did try that after your email). Besides, I am not the only one
person who could help you.
Could you therefore send to sablevm-user a step-by-step instruction how
do I install the version of tomcat you have and how do I run it?
I (and others too) am interested in seeing Tomcat running on SableVM
and once I know how to set it up and once I am able to reproduce the
problem I promise to see into the issue more deeply.
I wait for your email to sablevm-user.
Cheers,
